FIELD SITE MANAGER
We are seeking highly skilled, motivated FIELD SITE MANAGER for a jobsite in San Mateo / Los Altos CA.
The Field Site Manager assists and supports our Project Manager and Project Executive as directed. The Field Site Manager must be flexible and adaptable team-player, as well as have strong communication and client service skills. Our Field Site Manager will be responsible for the overall progress of the project as well as the scheduling of workers, subcontractors and the delivery of equipment and materials. This is in-person employment at an active jobsite (not remote work).
What You'll Do:
- Coordinate scheduling of subcontractors, consultants, inspectors, and vendors to complete project on time.
- Monitor work and materials to ensure quality control standards are met at various stages of the project.
- Communicate with the project team and support each subcontractor to execute their job duties effectively and efficiently.
- Perform inspections or schedule inspectors to meet the varying safety and compliance regulations of each job location.
- Maintain a written daily log of visitors, job actions performed, materials expended, and problems resolved on the job site.
- Manage self-performed work and sub trades.
- Identify and resolve problems and conflicts, organizing meetings and cooperating with team members in various roles as necessary.
- Set an example in keeping the job seat organized and clean, including meeting standards for waste disposal and environmental protection.
- Coordinate building access.
- Assist PM with project scheduling, change orders, submittals, RFI’s, inspection tracking, punch list, drawing management, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management or 2-years of commercial jobsite construction experience
- LEED accreditation preferred.
- Public projects experience (DSA preferred)
- Knowledge of construction principals, techniques, and procedures
- Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Procore, PlanGrid
- Detail Oriented, self-motivated
- Ability to read/interpret plans and specifications for all trades.
- Good time management and organizational skills / crew management
- Dependable, self-motivated
- Physical ability to navigate via walking multi-terrain jobsites and an overall excellent awareness of surroundings, climb ladders/stairs, lift 50 lbs
- 30 Hour OSHA and First Aid Training certified.
