Working Hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday
Main duties & responsibilities
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining vending machines at customers sites across the UK.
The successful candidate will be supporting our National Accounts team, and will allow you to build a career within the engineering industry. The role offers the opportunity to work with some of our major customers across the UK and is ideal for those looking for a career change and the potential for development.
We are looking for applicants who are driven to learn new skills, looking to develop a new career and are willing to travel and work on site. On-the-job training will be provided, along with opportunities for career progression.
Field Service Engineer – Main duties and responsibilities:
- Carry out the general maintenance of vending machines at customer sites, including:
- Servicing the machines and identifying any faults
- Changing coils and motors
- Organising repairs
- Updating IT equipment and software.
- Completing the build and installation of vending machines.
- Conducting tests after installations to ensure that the machines are ready for use.
- Managing and replenishing stock and spares within the machines.
- Interacting with managers and supervisors at customer sites, providing training and guidance on how to use the machines and software provided.
Knowledge & Skills requirements
The ideal candidate will have following key skills:
- Full driving licence is necessary.
- Willing to occasionally work away from home.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills – must be able to communicate with individuals across all levels of the business.
- Electro-mechanical engineering experience would be an advantage, however is not essential.
- Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of our products and processes.
- Proficient in basic computer applications including Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
