Job description
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Provide service and technical assistance to customers to ensure quick and effective repair, maintenance and operation of their equipment while developing a positive relationship with customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following duties are normal for this position. This is not an exclusive list. Other duties may be required and assigned.
More specifically, this person will:
- Develop and maintain outstanding technical expertise in the service, repair, maintenance and operation of volumetric mixers and their relevant systems.
- Travel to customer sites and Volumech workshops as needed to perform service work on customer equipment.
- Fill out accurate daily forms including service reports and timesheets.
- Assist in root cause analysis of failures in the field to help improve the overall quality of the equipment.
- Assist in the day to day duties of working to solve customer problems and answer their questions.
- Provide outstanding telephone and face to face customer service.
- Maintain accurate inventory of all tools and parts inventory on the service van.
- Be flexible to the wide variety of demands experienced in the day to day role of this position.

- City & Guilds Part 2 & Part 3 in an Engineering Discipline.
- NVQ Level 3 in an Engineering Discipline
- HGV 2 Class 2 License
EDUCATION – EXPERIENCE – COMPUTER SKILLS
- Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel and Power Point is required.
- Previous experience as a plant fitter or mobile engineer working with heavy equipment such as CAT, JCB, John Deere or Komatsu
- Strong electrical fault finding
- Knowledge of hydraulics and welding
