This LV Field Engineer (Trees) will report to Regional Tree Manager and will work within Network Operations – Eastern Region based in our Bury/Colchester/Norwich office. You will be permanent employee.

You will attract a salary of £37,684 per annum + benefits and a bonus of 3%.

Job Purpose:
To work as part of the Tree Team within the Eastern Region geographical area planning and delivering LV shutdowns for tree cutting work and providing technical support where required. Also you will support local areas of high fault activity. You will include liaison with customers, network operations and control, local area schedulers and the management of field staff and management of contractors.

Principal Accountabilities:
Ensure safety management throughout all responsibilities.
Responsibility for delivery of planned LV shutdowns to time, cost and quality.
Ensure staff comply with all procedures and work to a high standard of quality.
Daily planning, coordination and real-time responsibility for the efficient utilisation of resources.
Communicate with LV control – submission of LV switching log, complete LV network operations in accordance to distribution safety rules and procedures etc.
Ensure that the Asset Database – SAP, is updated with completed work etc. By the system.
Support and provide technical support to field staff,
Manage and resolve any contractual issues, with the support of Contract Management.
Produce Risk Assessments and Method Statements for the safe delivery of projects work.
Complete quality assurance checks of works completed and to rectify any quality issues identified.
Communicate with and manage relationships with our customers to meet their expectations wherever possible.
To be prepared to assist other sections e.g. organisational changes, system emergencies etc as determined by your experience.

Nature and Scope:
You will be an important contributor to a team responsible for the planning and delivery of an LV shutdown programme associated with tree cutting work. Together with the scheduling team, Safety & Compliance Supervisors and Field Staff you will deliver an excellent service to the customer, ensuring we meet the requirements of our Guaranteed Service Standards and achieve outstanding performance against the Broad Measure of Customer Service (BMoCS)

Qualifications:
Essential

Experience of overhead networks
Overhead and Underground LV switching authorisation on the EPN network
IT literate including MRS, SAP etc.
Current valid driving licence

Desirable

ONC Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
Overhead and Underground HV authorisation on the EPN network
NRSWA (City & Guilds) Supervisors certificate
IOSH Managing Safely certificate
Familiarity with MS Excel spreadsheets
