Job description
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a Field Engineer to join a growing business in Norwich. This is a varied role and will include a mixture of project work both at the office and customer sites across East Anglia, and some occasional travel to London.
The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking technologies. As well as proficiency in deploying and configuring laptops, computers, printers, Office 365 applications, and telephony systems.
Responsibilities will include:
Installation and Deployment:
- Deploy laptops and computers, ensuring proper hardware and software configuration.
- Set up printers and configure printing solutions.
- Install and configure Office 365 applications.
- Perform telephony deployments, including installation and configuration of telephony systems.
Network Installation:
- Install and configure network equipment, including routers, switches, and access points.
- Ensure the setup and connectivity of network devices for reliable network infrastructure.
Project Work:
- Collaborate with project teams to execute IT-related projects, following customer timelines and requirements.
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve technical issues during project implementations.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Create documentation for all implemented IT systems.
- Prepare reports and provide regular updates on project status, including any issues or challenges encountered.
Essential requirements:
- Full UK driving license
- Proven experience working with an IT department (Support or Installations)
- Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems
- CompTIA A+ or Network+
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Up to £27,000.00 per year
