Job Description Form ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *Company Name: *LA Decontamination Services Limited *Location: *Field Based *Job Title: *Field Service Engineer *General Description* The service engineer works within the company of LA Decontamination Services Limited offering maintenance and validation services to clients within the NHS and Pharmaceutical industries. This role is integral to the business and will involve frontline client interaction. The service engineer should expect to be working on a wide range of decontamination/sterilization equipment daily. This equipment includes: * Autoclaves/Sterilizers * Washer Disinfectors * Endoscope Washers * Drying Cabinets * Ultrasonic Washers/Cleaners * Steam Generators The service engineer is directly responsible for: * Preventative maintenance – this involves the routine servicing of machines on pre- determined dates agreed within the contracts held. * Reactive maintenance – this involves attending to breakdowns on machines to remedy within a timely manner. Systematic fault finding, replacement of parts and test cycles will be expected. * Validation testing – this ranges from weekly testing to annual validations. No engineer will be asked to carry out any validations unless qualified and competent to do so. It is a company expectation to deliver any reports following validation to the client within 7 days of testing. * Department personnel interaction – it is a company expectation for the service engineer to commit to regular, concise and informative communication with the relevant personnel within the department worked in. As a frontline representative of the company, it is imperative that this is a priority. * Telephone support – as a company we endeavor to support all of our clients even when not on site. It will be expected for the service engineer to receive calls from the departments when issues arise. These issues may be able to be resolved over the phone, if not, then it should be raised with internal management to schedule a remedial visit to site. * Maintain paperwork and shared databases – it is a company expectation to keep up to date with all relevant paperwork. This includes monthly mileage forms, expenses forms, validation reports and service reports. In addition, the company operate with several shared databases which include parts fitted log and stock lists. It is imperative that the service engineer keeps these up to date to ensure parts can be ordered and no information is missed. Working hours specified within the contract of employment are relevant to all sites. Preferred applicants are those with experience working with autoclaves and/or washer disinfectors. STM and WTM qualifications are preferred but not essential. Applicants should hold a full driving licence.

Salary: £35,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
