Field Service Engineer (Fitness Equipment)
Location: Field based - *Staffordshire based working in surrounding areas (Northwest, Midlands, East Midlands, Yorkshire, Cheshire, North Wales)
Hours: Monday - Friday
At Gymtech UK Limited are looking for a Field Service Engineer (Fitness Equipment) to join our growing team. This customer-facing role involves fault diagnosis, servicing, repairing, installing and the general maintenance of fitness / gym equipment. Working as part of our field service team and within your designated regions, the role will be in providing a seamless experience for our customers and their users by ensuring their gym equipment is operating correctly, you will provide servicing and repairs to industry leading fitness equipment to commercial and residential customers.
The Role:
- Carry out repairs, servicing and on occasions installations to fitness equipment
- Ensure all works carried out are to a high standard along with ensuring all health and safety aspects are covered to ensure the machine is in a safe working order
- To provide a seamless service to our customers and provide technical support, advice and guidance on how to maintain the equipment to support its health and longevity
- Manage all service requests efficiently and effectively to ensure that customers receive a prompt and professional service and equipment downtime is minimised ·
- Develop excellent customer relationships
- Manage stock to ensure that the recommended stock levels are maintained, handled and stored responsibly
- Complete job sheets with all technical information supplied for any further remedial works. Ie make + model of machine, serial number, parts and quantities required
Experience Required:
- Experience of repair or servicing electro-mechanical equipment, reading diagrams and schematics
- Must be competent mechanically and electrically to fault find, diagnose and remedy electrical and mechanical faults.
- Be self-motivated and work well on their own initiative
- Demonstrate an organised and methodical approach to their work,
- Excellent customer service skills
- Be solution focused with a passion for continuous improvement
- Have a good standard of PC literacy and confidence with computer updates
- Experience of repairing, Servicing and installing fitness equipment preferred
- Full UK driving licence (Drivers over 30)
- Staffordshire based working in surround areas ie Northwest, Midlands, East Midlands, Yorkshire, Cheshire, North Wales.
- Installations are a UK operation therefore further travel may be required from time to time
