Service Engineer

Are you a versatile and driven Service Engineer looking for a new challenge with a reputable company?

Working within a team, you will be a key member in being responsible for the service and repair of customer’s industrial equipment.

Salary: £30,000 – £33,000

Location: Stoke-on-Trent

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 8:30am-5pm plus overtime

Key responsibilities as a Service Engineer:

• Communicate effectively with Senior Engineers regarding progress and / or requirements of any additional work needed after assessment.
• Complete strip downs and overhauls on client machines.
• Preparation and submission of accurate, detailed and legible reports and certificates on the work carried out.
• Service, repair and maintenance of client equipment in accordance with current regulations, manufacturer recommendations and industry standards.
• Attend ‘call outs’ to client sites outside of normal working hours as required.

Required skills as a Service Engineer:

• Good engineering skills particularly with industrial equipment.
• Ability to work towards deadlines and strict time frames.
• Good communication skills with customers, engineers and senior personnel within companies.
• Full UK driving license.
• Understanding of basic health and safety issues regarding personal safety and relevant risk assessment.
• Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
