THE ROLE
Provide install, repair and maintenance services for business customers. You’ll have autonomy to organise your day how it best suits you, planning travel routes and timing.
You’ll be working at customers’ premises in Belfast to provide engineering support. This could be locations like schools, local government locations and healthcare providers. It’s a busy regions for BT, falling under the Public Sector Shared Network contract, so there’s always lots to engage with – both customers and technology.
The field team has grown consistently over the past three years and works closely together. Tools, a laptop and uniform are all provided. There will be a structured path for training to keep your skills sharp, along with recognising your personal areas of interest for learning and creating a path for that, too.
Your core duties include:
- Attend business customer sites to install, set-up and repair services
- Recommend solutions to improve customer services
- Guide customers through using BT products/services
- Provide deskside support for BT-supported equipment
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Customer service skills
- Strong ability to self-organise and manage your time
- Able to explain issues/solutions to non-technical customers
- Work through problems logically
- Prior experience working with cabling & technical solutions, or strong interest to do so
