About the Role:

The CogX Festival, now in its seventh year, is looking for a talented Festival Event Assistant to join our Festival team.

Reporting to the Festival Director, the Festival Event Assistant will help deliver a successful CogX Festival across 2023 & 2024. Supporting the Festival Director & wider Festival Teams you will aid productivity and deliver excellent administrative assistance.

Key Responsibilities


Responsibilities & Key Duties to include:
  • Support the Festival Leadership Team including Festival Director, Operations Director, Director Programming and wider events team including marketing, design and commercial on the Festival.
  • Provide administrative support to facilitate the smooth running of the events programme including coordinating events mailings, logistical administration, delegate processing, and day to day administration.
  • Support Festival Team on various projects where required & maintenance of the Festival project tracker & database.
  • Undertake ad hoc activities that arise during the festival period as required by the Festival Director.
  • Organising calendars and liaising/scheduling calls and meetings with clients and the Festival team.
  • Supporting international travel arrangements and schedules.
  • Ensure all event processes and procedures are documented and maintained. We continually look to find improved ways of working that create efficiencies, improve the member and delegate experience and reduce administration time.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


Experience

The preferred candidate MUST have
  • An interest in working in large-scale events, and ideally some previous event experience.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work on your own initiative.
  • Previous administrative experience & attention to detail is crucial.
  • Excellent use of Gmail and extended G Suite.
  • Exceptional time management & organisation skills.
  • Great client/customer service both telephone & face-to-face.
  • Highly literate & numerate.
  • A professional, mature and flexible can-do attitude.
  • Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team and on own initiative.
