Job description
The success of our vision depends on our fantastic employees and fostering the talent of the future. At Enterprise Works we have a clear vision of what we want the future to be. We aim to build a multi-functional team of operatives who enjoy the work they do. We are a supported employer operation helping adults with both physical disabilities and learning difficulties and as part of our supported employment strategy our vision is to introduce a new supported learning network of placements that see individuals rotate through Enterprise Works and prepare for future external employment.
That is why we have this exciting new opportunity for a Fencing Apprentice.
Your next role
This is an extremely hands-on apprenticeship role where you will be learning ‘on the job’ with an experienced fencer. The work will involve fencing repairs, installations, gate installations and other timber related works for Swindon Borough Council residents and tenants.
We are looking for an energetic person with a willingness to learn, displays positive behaviours and a can-do approach to work.
Supported by the Timber Workshop Team Leader you will assist in ensuring accurate timescales are met to customers with all repairs and installations.
You will complete a set apprenticeship from a nominated provider that results in a Level 2 Fencing Qualification.
If you can bring good communication skills, teamwork and a passion to learn, we will support you in developing a future fencing career.
You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”).
