Dimensions are a leading not-for-profit provider of support to adults with learning disabilities and autism.Female Support Workers in Stanwell will work at one of two homes in the area (to be discussed at interview). You will empower the independence of the people we support by enabling them to live the life that they choose.
3 gentlemen and 1 lady, aged in their 20's-60's live here. They are all outgoing people and would like Female Support Workers who can provide support in:
Shopping trips - you name it they like shopping for it
Leisure activities including swimming and bowling
Visits to day services two days a week
Setting up karaoke evenings in the home (be warned there are some massive Elvis fans in the house)
At the second we support 3 ladies and 3 gentleman who are in their 20's-70's. They are looking for Female Support Workers who will be happy to assist them with activities including:
Going to classes including cookery, arts and pottery
Long walks around Stanwell Park
Meals out at local restaurants including Harvester and McDonalds
Watching live music at home (we have local musicians who come to the house to perform)
The people at this house want you to know that although not all of them communicate using words they have other ways of letting you know what they want, this includes Makaton (a type of sign language). Don't worry if you have not had to communicate in this way before as Dimensions provide all Female Support Workers with full training.
The people at both homes would be happy to meet full or part-time Female Support Workers. Shifts are 7.00-14.30 & 14.30-22.00. Dimensions can offer a payrate of £10.30 per hour.
Support Workers may also have to assist with finances, meal preparation and personal care.
