What you’ll do
This role will see you leading and developing a team of highly skilled analysts to improve our fraud detection strategies and systems. You’ll coach and train your colleagues too, helping them to understand advanced analytics so they can develop fraud prevention solutions that protect our customers, processes, and products.
You’ll use visuals to convey advanced analytics, data and insights in an engaging way for your stakeholders and signpost the tools that can be used to help them make important decisions.
You’ll also be:
- Monitoring fraud trends and using your analysis to protect our customers against financial crime and loss
- Creating fraud rules through models, system performance monitoring and fraud loss budgets to protect customers and lower the risk of crime
- Providing analytical advice for fraud-related projects, strategy enhancements, delivery systems, stakeholders and customer journey owners involved in real-time transactions
- Helping report risk in different business areas and managing fraud rule controls and changes in a live system
- Maintaining analytical support through data management, data quality escalations, data literacy with stakeholders, fraud operations and governance processes
The skills you’ll need
We’re looking for someone who is an expert in fraud prevention strategies and understands the application of fraud systems, statistical models, tools, and analysis techniques. You'll also have an awareness of fraud in a commercial environment, and it'll be ideal if you have knowledge of systems such as Bankline, ThreatMetrix and Aric.
You’ll also need:
- Knowledge of fraud prevention, fraud threat environments, and banking industry responses to fraud including legal and regulatory policies
- An understanding of data management practices, including advanced analytics and data translations for stakeholders using latest tools, such as Snowflake, Tableau and similar
- Broad knowledge of financial services and how fraud has a wider business impact on key outputs and processes
- An awareness of fraud in a commercial environment
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build relationships with executives
