Job description
We are supporting a cheerful and very personable disabled lady, in her early thirties living independently in the BH3 area. She requires a *Female Personal Care Assistant to join the present team who support her 24/7 in her own bungalow, and out in the community to enable her to live life to the full.
She has asked us to provide the following information for her, on her behalf about the role .….
I require support with personal care, and all my daily living and social activities. Only very light household duties are involved, as I have in place my own lovely cleaner, gardener, car valet and window cleaner who ensure both my home and your working environment are clean and nice to be in!
I like getting out and about, visiting the cinema and theatre regularly, shopping, eating out and visiting friends and my family who live nearby. I do a little voluntary work in the community, going to Trustee meetings and fundraising. At home I enjoy Facebook, TV and relaxing, as well as studying online for various courses!
Requirements
Previous experience preferred but not essential, most important is a friendly, cheerful manner, an understanding nature, reliability and commitment.
· Experienced and confident driver with full manual gear driving licence, as I need to be driven out and about in my own vehicle. Also, applicants must be over 25 years of age as this is a stipulation of my vehicle insurance.
· Good command of the English Language.
· Must be comfortable with small dogs, as I have an adorable West Highland White Terrier who is my very best friend!
· References will be taken up, as well as a DBS check.
Hours/Pay
· Basic Rate of Pay: £11.75per hour. £12.75 per hour weekend rate.
· Excellent holidays and working environment offered. Pension plan in place for those who wish to opt in. Shift swap system in place within team to free up special days required off.
· Hours: 5 – 7 regular shifts per month (flexible). Also, holiday cover work available each month for those who wish.
· At present total of 5 regular dayshifts (of 9 hours) and 2 regular nightshifts, which include sleep-ins are available each month. (each team member is required to work one weekend shift per month, in this case a Saturday dayshift)
· Training and shadow shifts with an existing Personal Assistant will be provided.
· Self Employed applicants are welcome, please provide your hourly rate at the time of contact.
