Interpreters are paid on a Band 3 rate on an hourly basis with a minimum of 2 hours for video/face to face interpreting and 30mins for telephone interpreting.
Unfortunately we arenotcurrently seeking Urdu/Punjabi/Bengali/Polish (and dialects).

You will be responsible for providing a confidential, accurate, efficient and effective interpreting service to Health Professionals and patients in both hospital and community settings on an appointment basis. This is a bank position so you will only be booked to interpret as and when required during the day or possibly out of hours. The post holder needs to be available mostly during the day when the majority of appointments are conducted as evenings and weekends is very limited so only apply if you are available during the day Monday to Friday. This vacancy is only open to UK residents or people who are allowed work in the UK.
We are looking for someone who is experienced and qualified in Interpreting with excellent language proficiency. Most interpretations are now conducted via video or telephone (with some face to face sessions too) therefore good IT skills are also an essential requirement.
