What role you will play in our team
Join our Electrical Technicians Team on the south coast of England, 30 minutes from Southampton, at our Fawley site, which is the largest and most technically complex refining and petrochemical facility in the UK. We are located on the edge of the New Forest National Park and only 75 miles from London. On-site facilities, including a gym, make Fawley an enjoyable place to work.
What you will do
Work on electrical equipment in hazardous areas.
- Maintenance and repair of electrical starters and circuit breakers.
- Experience on equipment up to 11kV
- Experience of HV equipment and generators an advantage
- Experience on installation of electrical systems.
- Experience of motor actuated valves including PLC control.
- Ability to interpret and work from engineering drawings.
- Proven team & leadership skills.
- Understanding of protection relays
- IPS knowledge an advantage
- Detailed understanding of hazardous area requirements
- Communication systems
About you
A good general education to at least GCSE level. 5 GCSEs should be of grades A-C and must include English Language, Maths and Science.- Electrical apprenticeship or an Electrical related qualification
- Prior experience working as an Electrical Technician within industry or with experience in a related and relevant industry with the ability to transfer into the role as an Electrical Technician at ExxonMobil
- High standards of safety, trade skills, quality of work, timekeeping, maintenance of tools and equipment
- Experience working with Microsoft Office
- Broad range of skills with various electrical systems
- Exposure to systems utilised at ExxonMobil.
- Experience of working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
