The Role

We are in search of an exceptional Fashion Production Expert and Team Supervisor with a stellar understanding of high-end fashion garment creation, sewing intricacies, and an eye for the latest trends. This role is integral to improving our garment finishing quality and expanding our production processes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee, inspire and lead a team of seamstresses/tailors in the creation and finishing of high-quality garments.
  • Instruct and train the team in advanced sewing techniques, ensuring flawless stitching, proper seam allowances, and impeccable finishing.
  • Collaborate closely with our design team to interpret fashion concepts and transform them into beautiful, wearable pieces.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure every garment aligns with our high standards of craftsmanship and style.
  • Guide the production process and workflow management to meet target deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Continuously stay abreast with latest fashion trends, sewing techniques and tools, infusing this knowledge into the team and the work they produce.
  • Foster an environment of continuous learning, creativity, and professional growth.

Must-haves

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in high-end fashion garment creation, ideally within a dynamic production environment.
  • Deep expertise in the art of sewing, with a broad understanding of various stitch types, fabric properties, and garment finishing techniques.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role, showcasing effective team leadership and training abilities.
  • A refined eye for detail, demonstrating a commitment to superior quality and stylish designs.
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with a wide range of roles including designers, production staff, and management.
  • Knowledge of best practices for safety and efficiency within a production environment.
  • Proficiency in operating industrial-grade sewing machines and other garment construction tools.
  • A proven ability to troubleshoot, solve problems creatively, and adapt in a fast-paced work environment
