Job brief
We are looking for an experienced Fashion Designer to join the team in one of our fashion brands. You will be responsible for the design and production of our collections. This is a part time role based in a design studio we are setting up in the Battersea Power Station, London. We are offering a competitive package and hybrid working. Reporting to the Creative Director, you will receive full support and enjoy a high level of autonomy once up to speed in the role.
Responsibilities
- Working closely with the creative director to design & develop new garments
- Sketching on paper and digitally
- Creation of technical sheets for production including measurements & patterns
- Sourcing & selecting of materials, yarns, trimmings
Requirements and skills
- Proven work experience as a Fashion Designer or similar role
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator
- Availability to travel to Italy for research and product development
- Ability to do sketches by hand
- Excellent design and conceptual skills
- A bachelor’s degree in design or fine arts is preferred
- Relevant training and/or certifications as a Fashion Designer
- Languages required: English fluently, knowledge or fluency in Italian would be helpful
