Fashion Assistant - This Morning 12 Month FTC Office/Studio Based, London Hiring range: £25,000 - £30,000 For more information please email [email protected] Your work matters to millions. Then this is the job for you. We’re giving you the chance to work on one of the country’s most loved TV programmes - ITV’s ‘This Morning’ as a Fashion Assistant. You'll have a keen eye for all things fashion related and a background in either broadcast media or experience working for fashion/lifestyle magazines with a depth knowledge of all the latest catwalk and celebrity trends. You will be one step ahead of all the high street trends and have contacts with brands and PRs. Working to tight deadlines, you will be reactive to topical news and feature stories and have a strong command of the editorial content of each show. You will know the ethos of the This Morning viewer, and have an excellent grasp of the sort of fashion items that they would find informative and entertaining. You will be responsible for delivering accurate costs for each show. An understanding of compliance and OfCom regulations is also desirable. A flexible approach to work is important as you may be required to work bank holidays on occasion. The role Support the Assistant Producer & Fashion Editor with the running of the fashion cupboard Responsible for all press and in store returns Booking Real women models and managing all travel to and from the studio Over seeing all logistics on a busy fashion morning Assisting the Fashion Editor on Fashion shoots Responsible for expenses and receipts bought on fashion team credit card In charge of general organisation, running and stock management in the fashion cupboard Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria) A high level of organisational and time management skills. Experience of working with large budgets A can do attitude, even under pressure. Confident and personable - casting models and speaking to contributors is a key part of this role Demonstrating tact and diplomacy in all professional relationships. A respect and understanding of the etiquette of a busy studio environment. At least one year’s experience as a fashion assistant/ intern in an editorial environment. Solid contacts with press officers across the industry Experience being responsible for overseeing and contributing to the return of loaned samples from press offices efficiently and in a timely manner. Other things we’re looking for (key criteria) A university degree is not essential but the right candidate must be able to demonstrate extensive experience in a similar role.
