Job Title: Farming Knowledge Exchange Officer
Location: This role has a hybrid approach to working out of our office in either Worthing or Falmer 1-2 days per week and home working. This role will also involve field-based work across the Southern Water region (Hampshire, Sussex and Kent)
Employment Type: Permanent
Hours: 37 hours a week, Monday - Friday
Salary: Up to £38,000 depending upon experience

It’s an exciting time to join us in this brand-new role as our Catchment Delivery team undergoes transformation, focusing on raising the profile of sustainable regenerative farming, farm technology and cutting-edge farm monitoring.
Working closely alongside our Catchment and Nature Based Solutions Officers, our Farming Knowledge Exchange Officer will be responsible for developing and delivering events, workshops and farm demonstration projects.
You’ll also play a crucial role in our team gathering data about our farming incentive programme, a muti-million pound investment to improve soil health, water quality and biodiversity within our drinking water catchments.
Southern Water is on a journey, placing catchments and communities at the heart of our decision making, securing resilient supplies of drinking water, striving for net zero and investing in nature’s recovery. As our farming knowledge exchange officer, you’ll be at the heart of this transformation. Helping our catchment programmes achieve multiple benefit outcomes at a landscape scale by raising the profile of what we do, sharing best practice through events and media content; and delivering a monitoring programme, so that we can track our outcomes and successes.
