About us
Park Farm Ltd and Bath Soft Cheese Ltd work together to make award-winning organic milk. Growing the grass, rearing the livestock, milking the cows, making the cheese, selling and even cooking with the cheese. We have a popular farm shop and cafe on the farm and a great team of staff who work well together.
The work will involve milking the cows and doing general farm work.
Hours: We expect your hours to average c. 9 hours per day starting at 9.30am. You will be working 11 days per fortnight, with a Friday, Saturday and Sunday off.
1. Milking the cows once a day in the afternoon:
- Start milking at 2.30pm
- Set up milking parlour
- Get cows in from field (summer)
- Milk the cows with the correct routine
- Feed calves
- Scrap out yard and cubicle passage ways
- Check cows are in correct field (summer)
- Check for bulling / detecting animals on heat
- Keep Parlour and Dairy clean and tidy
2. Other Farm work e.g.
- Start work on the farm at agreed time normally 9.30am but maybe later if agreed in advance
- Liaise with the vet on vet visits
- Assist with feeding, bedding down and etc
- Looking after young stock and calves
- Fencing
- Assist laying farm tracks
3. Farm Maintenance e.g.
- Basic plumbing
- Basic electrical work
- Fixing fixtures and fittings
- Diagnosing and / or repairing breakages
You will report to the farm manager.

Salary: £26,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
