Briddlesford Farm is a 200-acre dairy farm milking 150 pedigree Guernsey cows and encompassing a farm shop/café complex and a 'state of the art' milk processing dairy.

The aim of the business is to process all its milk and home-produced meat on site, sell it direct to the consumer and promote Isle of Wight food and farming in the wider context.

It is an example of Isle of Wight food production and self-sufficiency at its best, we currently have a great opportunity for a full-time Farm shop assistant.

Main duties to include:

• Working on our till serving customers
• Maintaining high standards of visual displays/cleanliness of shop floor
• Dealing with deliveries and pricing products ready for the shop floor
• keeping the workplace clear and tidy at all times
• Assisting on our butchery counter, serving and some basic cutting (training the be given)
• Record keeping

Other duties may include:

• Replenishing our ambient and chilled product shelves
• Stock rotation and checking dates
• Replenishing our fresh foods throughout the day
• Assisting with other parts of the business where required

Candidates must:

• Enjoy working in a busy environment
• Take pride in delivering high standards of customer service
• Work well with others and in a team, and be able to listen to instructions
• Have high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
• Have a positive, enthusiastic attitude

Experience is desired but not essential as full training will be given on the job and is ongoing throughout your time at Briddlesford Farm Shop. We are a family-run business with a very hands-on approach. We all work as a team to provide best service, experience, and products for our customers.

The hours will be 8.30-17.30 4/5 days a week to include one day at the weekend with a starting pay of £10.90/hr.
