Job description
We are currently recruiting for a variety of full-time and part-time roles within the Farm Shop and Café team at Cowdray.
This progressive family-owned rural Estate is located at the heart of the South Downs National Park and employs over 200 staff. The Estate is steeped in history and heritage. It contains the ruins of one of England’s most important early Tudor houses and is the home of British Polo. There is also our award-winning Farm Shop and Café, a championship Golf Course, Holiday Accommodation, Wellbeing Centre and Cowdray House and The Walled Garden, our luxury event venues which sit alongside the more traditional Estate activities including farming, forestry, and deer management.
The successful applicant will enjoy being part of a hard-working, outgoing team and will have fantastic customer service skills. We are ideally looking for some hospitality/retail experience, but it is equally important to find team members that are confident and approachable with a positive attitude as full training will be given.
The right people to join our team will need to be self-motivated with a positive and cheerful outlook, whilst being able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Our Farm Shop and Café are highly sociable, therefore an interest in people and an understanding of what good customer service means will be advantageous. An interest in great food, where it comes from and how best it can be enjoyed will be beneficial, so if you are as passionate about food as we are then we want to hear from you!
