Why Join Heineken’s Orcharding team?
Embedding HEINEKEN Herefordshire as the Global Home of Cider is a challenge we all embrace. Our historic Herefordshire heartland is home to the world’s largest Cider production site, our cider mill at Ledbury and more than 5,000 acres of orchards, including those on contract with local growers. We also partner with local growers as we use more than 20% of all apples grown in the UK to make our celebrated cider brands.

About the role
Working in the Worcestershire countryside, looking after orchards to produce apples for our delicious brands, such as Bulmers, Strongbow and Inchs; we’re looking for a Farm Manager to join the Orcharding team our Farm Managers take responsibility for the overall running of farms, i.e., creating and delivering efficient farm plans and budgets whilst managing and developing the team.

Safety is the key message you’ll want to promote within the work environment. You will be responsible for ensuring all operations undertaken by colleagues and contractors are done safely and in line with company policies. You will be the key contact for our neighbours, managing this important relationship. You will demonstrate your responsible attitude to the environment through compliance with all relevant legislation; Codes of Practice and company policies.

About you

Ideally you will have an Agricultural or Horticultural qualification and experience of farm management – however, don’t let this be a barrier to your application! Practical qualifications – PA1, PA2 and PA3 would be beneficial but not essential as we will provide all necessary training. If this sounds like a challenge you would relish, we’d love to hear from you.

Life at HEINEKEN
We’re building a future that embraces innovation, sustainability, diversity and, of course, the opportunity for our 2,400 UK colleagues to make the most of their careers.

We encourage all our colleagues to grow and reach their full potential. We’re also well-aware that successful careers seldom run in a straight line, so if you’re in search of fresh opportunities (including global or cross-functional moves), mentoring or simply want to pick up a new skill, you’ll have access to all the support you need.

Caring for people & the planet is one of our core values and we understand that each of our colleagues’ needs and circumstances are different. This is why we have a smarter working policy in place which includes access to hybrid working, flexible start and finish times and condensed hours, to name a few.

Our colleagues love life at HEINEKEN, and we’re confident you’ll feel the same way – but don’t take our word for it. Search the #LifeAtHEINEKENUK hashtag on LinkedIn to hear from our colleagues about what makes HEINEKEN such a special business to be a part of.
