Your role
you will be responsible for assisting on company Broiler Farms, including estate management, walking the poultry sheds with bird Welfare at the forefront of each task, and maintaining the professional integrity and appearance of the farm. The role includes feeding the birds, all aspects of poultry stock-manship, taking samples, and maintaining high standards of hygiene and biosecurity on farm. You will also maintain correct and up to date records of all matters relating to birds, food, supplies, and stocks on farm and assist other operations such as bird weighing, catching and placing chicks and any other reasonable duties as required in your specific day to day work as given by Farm/Assistant Farm Manager.
Whilst providing assistance and support to farm management across a wide variety of farming activity, this Farm Assistant role is very much a ‘first step’ in a career in agriculture. The successful candidate will ‘live’ Welfare as a Condition in all that they do. They will contribute to the efficient running of the Broiler farm and have the opportunity to learn ‘hands on’ how to produce high quality Broilers. Simultaneously, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow and development via our bespoke Agriculture Academy. ‘Growing our own’ agriculture specialists and leaders of the future is something that is extremely important to Moy Park.
