ABOUT THE 12-YEAR-OLD BOY
H has cerebral palsy, complex needs, learning difficulties and is non-verbal, so he requires support with his communication and to meet all of his needs. He is a charming and engaging child who enjoys interacting with his carers, listening to music and songs, reading books, and getting involved in sensory activities.
H is also a wheelchair user so relies on others for his mobility and his personal care. He has a feeding tube in situ through which he receives his medication and approximately half his nutrition. The other half is given to him in the form of pureed food, which he enjoys.
