Temporary contract to cover maternity leave | 19.5 hours per week | £11,789 to £12,677 per annum (Grade E) | Norwich

19.5 hours per week (Job share considered) (2 full days and 1 half day)

Temporary contract from 1 June 2023 – 31 May 2024 (maternity cover)

Location: Hybrid working – Home working and County Hall, Norwich

We are looking to recruit a part time Family Information Officer to join our vibrant team.

This is a varied role that includes:

  • Dealing with telephone and email enquiries from families about a wide range of information such as childcare, financial advice, family learning opportunities and specialist support
  • Managing IT systems and databases
  • Supporting Early Years Providers to manage their information online through the provider portal
  • Attending community outreach events, representing the service to promote high quality funded childcare provision, signpost to other services and network with different organisations
  • Supporting the continued development of the Family Information social media platforms
  • Actively engaging in the team’s work to achieve the Family information Quality award by summer 2023
  • Raising awareness of early years funding entitlements, extracting data from Department of Work & Pensions (DWP) lists showing children potentially eligible for 2-year-old funding and making appropriate contact with families

We are looking for a professional and enthusiastic person to develop new ways of reaching and engaging with all families.

You must have excellent communication skills and be able to process, record and report information accurately to support service delivery within a busy fast-paced team.
