Our highly skilled and creative workforce is comprised of individuals drawn from a broad cross section of the globe, who reflect a variety of backgrounds, talents, perspectives and experiences that help to build our global learning community.

The University Library is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, self-motivated Faculty Librarian to lead support for the Bournemouth University Business School. The postholder will work in partnership with the Academic Skills Hub Manager, coordinating development of information literacy and academic skills for the Academic Skills Hub on behalf of the Faculty Library Teams.

As a qualified and experienced librarian, you will utilise your excellent people skills to engage, manage relationships and work collaboratively with the Faculty, professional services and Library & Learning Support colleagues. You will be adaptable, organised and proactive to ensure that you are working effectively and are able to prioritise your work and meet deadlines. Your knowledge of Higher Education (HE), with a focus on learning and innovation will enable you to develop excellent resources and support teaching and research within the Faculty. You will lead a small team of Academic Liaison Librarians in delivering effective information literacy teaching, as well as contributing to the Academic Skills Hub workshop programme and other service requirements.

This post presents an exciting opportunity for an experienced librarian to join the Academic Liaison Team within Library & Learning Support. This integrated team is responsible for the delivery of high quality engagement and support for staff and students.

Applications for this full-time, permanent position are welcome from professional librarians seeking to develop their career in HE. For further information and discussion, please contact Emma Crowley by email [email protected].

BU values and is committed to an inclusive working environment. We seek a diverse community through attracting, developing and retaining staff from different backgrounds to contribute to inspirational learning, advancing knowledge and enriching society. To support and enable our staff to achieve a balance between work and their personal lives, we will also consider proposals for flexible working or job share arrangements.
