Factory Operative
Job description
This position is available with either Part-time or Full-Time hours but will cover the hours of 17:00-22:00 (so if FT hours required then you could work 14:00-22:00)
Duties to include :-
Running machines
General packing & labelling
Completing required paperwork.
Hygiene & general factory tasks
(This is initially a seasonal role but will be made permanent for the right candidate)
Salary starts at NMW (currently £9.50 ph) but candidates with the right attitude and skills to run machines and take on more responsibility will quickly attract a higher rate of pay.
Payslip is sent via email and salary is paid weekly - one week in arrears.
Weekend Overtime is also usually available in high season - this attracts an enhanced rate of time and a quarter ( so minimum of £11.87 ph) and a free sandwich (bacon etc) from the Candy Kingdom café!
As a further bonus John Bull has a corporate membership with East Riding Leisure that allows employees to join at a discounted rate.
The successful applicant will:
Have at least one year of factory experience preferably food based
Have a positive attitude to work
Be flexible regarding hours
Be reliable and punctual
A good team worker.
