Job description

Kanwal UK Corp is looking for an experienced Factory maintenance electrician/technician to work on a permanent basis at a global manufacturing company based in Dunstable.

Responsibilities as Maintenance Electrician:

  • Ensure scheduled services are carried out in a timely and professional manner
  • Attend Breakdowns as and when they occur
  • Leave machines in a safe and tidy condition
  • Carry out weekly Motor Filter Cleaning and Inspection
  • Carry out Fixed Wiring Testing and Repairs as required
  • All paperwork is completed for each Task and signed off
  • Communicate with Team Leaders and all other personnel as required
  • Act as Fire Marshalls as and when required
  • Adopt Safe working practice's to comply with Company and General Health and Safety Rules
  • Develop projects related to Machine Improvements
  • Fulfil other duties as directed by the Maintenance Manager or Production Manager

The Maintenance Electrician requirements:

  • Fully Qualified Electrician
  • An extensive understanding of the Electricity at Work Regulations, and the Codes of Practice and guidance documents relevant to the range of electrical work undertaken.
  • Fully understanding the inspection, testing, verification, certification and reporting procedures for the range of electrical work undertaken.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation

The role and the requirements may change slightly depending on the successful candidate’s experience level, which in turn allows for a stretch in the salary and benefits package.

40 hours per week and overtime available in addition to basic salary.
