We have an excellent opportunity for a hardworking and dedicated individual to permanently join our Moores family. This is a fast-paced role, and we are looking for people with a can-do attitude, an eye for detail, able to operate a range of woodworking machinery safely.

Job profile:
- Carry out regular machine safety checks at the start of each shift and escalate any concerns.
- Operate machinery in accordance with safety procedures.
- Check the product requirements and materials to be used for each production run.
- Set up and programme our machinery for each run based on procedures and experience.
- Continue to observe the operation of the machine and carry out checks as necessary during each run.
Key Skills:
- Ability to read and understand product drawings / plot sizes and/or create a plot for panel production.
- Previous experience / ability to use Work in Progress system.
- Operate relevant machinery including software for PC controlled machinery or programme CNC machines.
- Understand the physical operation of the different machines sufficient for at least basic fault finding/correction.
- Awareness of the tolerances required for each product.
- Knowledge of safety procedures, manual handling and regulations for machinery operated.
- Basic knowledge of quality standards for different products.
Working conditions:
- PPE is mandatory and provided i.e. safety footwear, eye protection, ear protection (designated areas).
- Monday – Friday shifts.
- 39 hours in an annualized hours pattern.
- Working within a factory environment you may encounter dust and higher levels of noise.
- The nature of the job can be physically demanding i.e. heavy lifting on a regular basis.
