The Opportunity:
The Global Brand Marketing team sets the global brand strategy, developing assets and marketing plans for regional teams to execute around the globe. The Associate Marketing Manager will help us deliver best-in-class global franchise marketing strategies and plans that maximize the growth and cultural relevance of our Cards Games IP portfolio, including UNO. Working within the Global Brands team and with cross-functional partners across the company, the Associate Marketing Manager will support the development and execution of marketing activations across a variety of platforms and initiatives.
Keys to success will be strong organizational skills with attention to detail, excellent communication skills (including written communication and oral presentations to small and large audiences), a can-do attitude, a passion for variety, and the ability to wear many hats. Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills is crucial for success in this role. This individual must be able to lead and motivate cross-functional teams and provide a compelling vision and strategy, be creative yet analytical/financially oriented, be resourceful in handling project roadblocks, and be a strong executer. The ability to put the consumer first in marketing strategies and planning is critical to this role.
What Your Impact Will Be:
- Support the development of robust, globally relevant brand building activities; serve as key strategic partner in the creation of key supporting assets and content as well as execution across global markets
- Work closely with cross-functional partners (marketing communications, digital, social, PR, influencer, product marketing) throughout the global marketing plan development and launch process
- Embody the brand perspective and voice, serving as reviewer and approver of assets and content across platforms and countries ranging from social, linear, digital, and digital gaming assets
- Help manage our overarching marketing calendar to drive alignment and consistency across global markets and across various businesses
- Translate consumer and business insights into strategic direction for marketing briefs for both internal and external agency and creative partners
- Ensure all brand marketing projects are supported by business strategy, objectives and insights
- Monitor key trends, brands and competitors’ performance in all markets to ensure our brands remain culturally relevant and top of mind
- Communicate regularly with regional teams and lines of business to ensure marketing needs are being met
- Work with other Mattel Global Brand teams to share plans and ‘best practices’ around the world
- Act as point of contact for brand inquiries and dissemination of brand information and assets
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Business or related (or equivalent); MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years (2 years with MBA) specifically either brand marketing experience or product marketing experience
- Passion for and thorough understanding of brand, marketing mix, and KPIs
- Demonstrated leadership, project management and strategic thinking skills.
- Demonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.
- Ability to analyze and pull insights from data to drive recommendations
- Strong skills presenting in front of small and large groups
- Highly organized, independent and detail oriented with strong follow up skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build solid collaborative relationships
- Strong PowerPoint creation and presentation skills, proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel
The annual base salary range for this position is between $110,000 and $120,000.
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
