Position Overview
We are looking for a Facilities Stores & Warehouse Operative who knows what best-in-class service looks like and can make that a reality. This role is an important member of our Site Operations team where we manage some of the most efficient and cost-effective data center facilities in the industry.
Essential Job Functions
- Work under limited supervision, both independently and within a team environment
- Manage multiple one-time and/or ongoing projects
- Use discretion and judgment in organizing workflow and adapting as priorities are modified due to a changing environment
- Frequent contact with employees at all levels of the organization; frequent internal/external contact with customers and vendors
Duties
- Management of the site Loading Bay’s, Stores and Warehouse areas
- Monitoring, controlling, and recording the flow of company: products; inventory; goods, in and out of the facility
- Liaise with couriers for the delivery and collection of all customer: products; inventory; goods
- Ensure that all deliveries and collections are recorded and there is a clear audit chain
- Deal with customer’s deliveries and collections on site, including the managing and upkeep of the loading bay areas
- Maintain the critical spares stock ledger
- Overseeing the waste management activities on site
- Provision of material handling support to Operations and Construction deliveries to site
- Liaise with the Customer Experience Team for all delivery, storage, and collection queries
- Inspect the site shelving in accordance with the SEMA standards
- Deal with customer queries in a prompt, courteous and professional manner
- Control and monitor site lifting equipment such as trollies and server lifters
- Management of critical spares and COSSH inventory
- Fire Marshal duties, as required
- Adhere to, and ensure vendors follow, the Company’s SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) to ensure all activities are performed in accordance with them
- Conduct Facilities Checks
- Occasional escorting
- Daily use of FLT
- Lone working (at times)
Job Requirements
- Experience in dealing with customer issues and problem solve
- Forklift Truck Trained, hold an appropriate licence or certification
- Undertake manual handling duties with appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person
- Able to plan, organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft desktop and server operating systems, as well as Microsoft Office 365
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate internally with team members as well as externally with vendors and other service providers
- Work effectively in collaboration cross-functionally to achieve shared goals and deliver business objectives
- Confident decision maker, even with incomplete or limited information
- May be required to complete formal training in an area of specialty
- Candidates must possess reliable transportation for reporting to work for shifts, or emergencies
- Travel is expected to be less than 5%, occasionally for training purposes
- Potential employees must complete a background check successfully
- 40-45 hours
- 25 days paid annual leave
- 1 Hour unpaid lunch
