The Department
The Property Services department is a customer-led service provider of facilities management, capital projects and real estate advice to the university, responsible for coordination and liaison with and delivery on behalf of our Board of Governors, University Executives, Schools and Departments but also local neighbours and community organisations. We strive to provide a professional service to all parties with student experience at the core of our day-to-day activities.
The Role
The role will assist and support the Operations Manager in the management of an effective, professionally driven, and high-quality function, in accordance with the needs of the University. In addition, the post holder will support in delivering an effective contract management of all soft facilities services across all UWL sites, ensuring the estate is safe, compliant, and fit for purpose. The post holder will be a key member in managing the service delivery, maintaining end-user expectations, and meeting their needs for facilities and estates support, working with our total Facilities Management provider and UWL Catering provider.
The Person
The successful candidate will have a management qualification or equivalent experience at management level, excellent IT Skills, experience in working with external contractors to deliver pre-defined works and strong working knowledge of Facilities related Health & Safety legislation.
