Job description

Are you a Facilities or Estate Manager with experience of Soft Services FM such as Cleaning, Security and Grounds Maintenance.

This National Facilities Services company are working on a contract based in Cornwall for the next 8 years and require a Facilities Manager to oversee and manage the client and subcontracts on the contract to ensure quality and efficient delivery

The role is to support the FM Account Director to deliver a profitable, efficient and safe operation for cleaning, security, grounds maintenance and reception services within the contract.

Key Accountabilities
Manage, co-ordinate and lead the cleaning, security, grounds maintenance and reception supply chain partners optimising the use of all resources, exercising budgetary control to achieve performance, quality service and the strategic objectives of the business.

To interact & manage the works through the contract CAFM system ensuing all targets are achieved and SLA compliance.

To lead and manage the Soft services helpdesk team, ensuring compliance and delivery through clear communication skills.

The development, implementation and monitoring of service level agreements and key performance indicators in the line with the contractual requirements. This includes customer satisfaction and use of benchmarking to measure productivity to enable continuous improvement.

Ensure appropriate levels of employee retention through effective leadership, motivation and development of a talent pipeline

Comply with all company and client policies, site rules and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness and COSHH. To include your awareness of any specific hazards in your work place and training of staff.

To provide timely reporting and trend analysis across the Soft FM business functions.

To maintain positive client relationships with all business partners, engineering and support teams and to own the client relationship.

To ensure that the Soft Services supply chain teams are aware of and undertake their tasks/responsibilities and are provided with the appropriate tools and other facilities to enable them to undertake their duties.

Promote values amongst all contract staff and develop and achieve a pro-active culture.

Technical Skills / Knowledge Skills and Knowledge:

  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • In-depth knowledge of best practice and service deliver standards
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Excellent organisational and problem solving skills
  • Soft Services Facilities Management experience within the Public/council sector.
  • Computer literate and experience operating with a CAFM system
  • Ability to work to deadlines and effectively manage deadlines
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent people management skills, clear thinker with the ability to be flexible to the demands of the role.
  • Good financial acumen, ability to work to a budget
  • Ability to build strong relationships with customers and to manage their expectations.
  • Proven strategic thinker with ability to facilitate change where necessary

Qualifications / Person Specification

  • Level 3 Facilities Management qualification
  • IOSH certified
  • Infection Prevention and Control qualification
