About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for the right individual to spearhead and lead Saha’s Older Persons housing services. The Older Persons Housing Manager will join our evolving General Needs Housing Services Team, with the role requiring a strong and pioneering leader to enhance the lives and safety of our tenants.

About the Role of Older Persons Housing Manager:

Our Values are important to us, so we are looking for someone who represents these and is passionate about Older Persons Housing. As the Older Persons Housing Manager, you will need to:

  • Provide strong leadership, effective people management and clear motivation and support to the 6 x Scheme Managers to deliver a high quality, high performing, value for money service to all tenants of Older Persons accommodation.
  • Manage individual team members and be responsible for staff development within the team including, training, 121s, annual appraisals and addressing any performance issues.
  • Develop, implement and review strategies, policies, and procedures for all aspects of Older Persons accommodation ensuring that the service meets the objectives of Saha’s corporate plan.
  • Reporting to the General Needs Housing Senior you will lead on the development of older persons services, providing expert advice to our management team and members. You will work closely with the housing senior to ensure a smooth delivery of an effective housing service.
  • Ensure that all Older Persons Housing services are customer focussed and that services provided are consistent across the whole general needs stock, supporting agreed plans and targets.
  • Have a strong understanding of Older people’s services, safeguarding, Housing and relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Hold a strong grasp of how technology can support the delivery of Older peoples housing.
  • Has experience in effective contract management with focus and strong negotiation skills.

  • Responsible for fulfilling duties in relation to health and safety, that are relevant to their role, as set out in the Health & Safety Policy.
  • You will need to be comfortable with risk management, and seek to ensure and identify development that may impact the future delivery of housing and support for our Older Persons tenants.
  • Participate in essential training, role related training and to work in accordance with all relevant Saha regulations including, for example the Code of Conduct, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Safeguarding, Health and Safety and Information Security.
  • Fully align with Saha values and behaviours and to adopt an ‘advantaged thinking’ perspective through language, conduct and behaviour.
