We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to play a key role co-managing the Highfurlong School premises and site team, working alongside the current manager. A proven track record in a similar position is essential, together with a sound knowledge of estate operations, building maintenance and project management, health and safety and building regulations. An understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements is also essential.
The successful candidate will also support the school with the opening of a brand new £5.5million purpose built building in September 2024. (click here for more information) With 2 separate buildings and over 100 pupils with special educational needs and staff using the site, the Facilities Manager role is fast paced with an ever-changing priority list. The successful candidate will need to be an agile thinker, a strong people manager and well organised to succeed in the role.
Highfurlong School is a four times Outstanding special school in Blackpool, providing education for pupils aged 2-19 years with a wide range of special educational needs. Our state of the art facilities provide education to nursery, primary, secondary and post 16 children and young people.
