Job description
We are recruiting for a Facilities Manager who can lead our facilities function and help us to achieve the schools ambition to be the best specialist school in the world.
We have a site containing three permanent buildings of various ages, plus temporary accommodation set in amazing grounds which we are looking to maximise the use of.
The successful applicant must be a strong leader and manager of both of the systems, teams and culture.
You will have exceptional communication skills with all stakeholders from students to contractors to local residents.
You will line manage the catering, cleaning (both employees and contracted services) and caretaking team, including management and mentoring of an apprentices, trainees and interns, as required.
As well as the day to day maintenance of the school you will plan long and short term works for the school, including budgeting and procurement plans.
You will be responsible for the health and safety of the school site, including fire safety and all risk assessments and associated statutory policies.
You will also manage the arrival and departure of daily school transport.
Previous school experience is not required.
For the posts advertised, you must:
- Be experienced in facilities management and leading teams
- Be experienced in health and safety and advising others on H&S matters
- Have excellent maintenance skills and managing contractors
- Have excellent communication and team working skills
- Have a strong commitment to both personal development and development of our school
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £31,099.00-£35,411.00 per year
