Facilities Management Manager (Minor New Works)

Arriva Rail London have just started working on a brand new opportunity within their Facilities Management Team. We are searching for a Facilities Management Manager who will focus on Minor New Works. This is an excellent opportunity for you to work closely with the Senior Asset & Facilities Manager as well as the whole Facilities Management team, ensuring that all minor works undertaken by ARL are effectively delivered and managed.
This is an excellent role for a proven facilities management professional who has is looking for the opportunity to work in the railway industry.
You will have full ownership of the Facilities Management Minor Works approval process, requests logging and tracking of FM minor works, updating relevant stakholders when required, both external and internal.
Management of Contractors who are delivering Minor New Works will also be your responsibility, on behalf of Arriva Rail London ensuring the highest quality and safety.
You will also be responsible for obtaining, reviewing and managing supplier quotations for all approved Minor New Works requests, effectively communicating updates to relevant internal and external parties in a timely manner.
Ensuring that all Facilities Minor New Works are delivered in line with ARL's Safety Assurance Process policy as well as landlord approval and authorisation assurance processes.
As the Facilities Management Manager (Minor New Works), you will also work very closely with the Infrastructure Projects team to identify and establish synergies between FM Minor New works and Infrastructure Project Delivery.
The individual will need to have had experience managing a broad range of FM/ Construction Contractors, as well as full contractor work sites.
Ideally you would also have experience in delivering works to RIS (Rail Industry Standards), as well as experience of working with the application of the Rail Industry Stations Access Conditions.
Project Management, Construction Management and Facilities Management qualifications are highly desirable, as well as a good understanding of railway operations.
Experience of managing works which are subject to Railway trackside maintenance safe working standards would be ideal.
Strong understanding of CAFM systems and Asset Management systems is essential, as well as a good knowledge of building asset management lifecycles.
Excellent communication skills and strong decision-making capabilities, someone who is commercially inclined, who also has strong organisational skills.
