Role Summary
As part of a team the labourer work involves manual work including tidying up after crafts, pushing/pulling test equipment, keeping site tidy and assisting other crafts including plumbers and electricians as required across the Bishops Cleeve Campus. The labourer will get exposure to many areas of the business and be widely utilised for a range of tasks. The role will be based on dayshift, but due to the nature of the role you may be asked to work outside of standard working hours to meet business needs.
Essential Roles/Responsibilites
As a labourer you will support the facilities team to keep the site tidy and presentable, in addition to assisting crafts who are working to ensure production can continue.
Key Activities:
- Cleaning up worksites from debris and machinery
- Handling & transporting materials
- Support in manually moving test equipment
- Assist plumbers and electricians in their crafts
- Use power tools when needed
- Follow instructions from supervisors
- Erect signage
- Report issues and promote a safety culture
- Erecting office furniture, whiteboards and similar
- Assisting and learning the plumbing craft.
- Changing filters following training
Work within the maintenance & facilities team to manage sitewide systems and procedures including fire alarm testing & emergency response.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Safety conscious
- Ability to meet physical demands of the job
- Good hand eye coordination
- Good team player who can operate in a multi discipline environment
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Energetic and self-motivated, with an ability to self-manage tasks and priorities
- Computer literacy
- IPAF is a benefit
