We are looking for a Facilities Electrical Engineer to cover the Airbus estates at the Broughton site in North Wales. There will also be the opportunity to interface and work across all the other UK sites and in some areas network with your equivalent transnational peers to ensure best practices and consistent service levels.
Reporting directly to the Energy Manager UK you will be responsible for providing specialist electrical engineering advice to the wider Facilities Management and Real Estate project teams and hard services (maintenance) provider to ensure compliance with current legislation and best practices.
You will also be responsible for the development of specifications for tendering of services. equipment and new facilities to ensure they meet the capability, quality and cost requirements of the business.
Airbus has strong sustainability objectives of which Facilities Management and Real Estate have a key role in ensuring the infrastructure, controls and objectives are supported.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
Continuous development and maintenance of old and new installations LV / HV networks
Continuous development, installation and maintenance of site HVAC & heating systems on site
Provide specification requirements into tender documentation in relation to installation to standards
Identify and support the implementation of energy / carbon emission and continuous improvement projects to support the Airbus Sustainability objectives
Assist in the general preparation for Opex and Capex budgets, collating information, data and costs to support the capital investment cases
Ensure all our systems confirm to Statutory compliance through audits, including carrying out contractor audits in line with Airbus Contractor Management requirements , Interpreting Policy, legislation, regulations and national codes of practices
Support the delivery of the Capital Investment projects where there is the scope of responsibility of electrical requirements from request to handover, including feasibility options appraisal, detailed design, and tender, health and safety
ABOUT YOU
Qualified High voltage electrician
Experience in working on large developed sites
Experienced HVAC engineer
Experience in new HV/LV installations
