Why this role is important for CPI’s work
Due to continued growth at CPI, we are recruiting for an additional experienced Facilities Coordinator to join our Facilities team. The Facilities team is responsible for managing and supporting the smooth running of CPI’s facilities, ensuring all contracted Facilities Management services meet legal, statutory, and client specifications.
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for delivering the tasks to deploy, maintain and execute the Facilities Management Contract working alongside the Business Unit Head of Operations to provide a full range of support across our North East sites, therefore a full driving license and access to a vehicle are key requirements.
We are recruiting for a Facilities Coordinator who can demonstrate they hold experience managing and prioritising workloads and demands, with the ability to switch seamlessly between tasks. Ideally, this experience will have been gained in a growing company with more than one site.
Communication is a key requirement; the ideal candidate will be confident with their communication skills and be comfortable speaking to teams and groups. Experience with Microsoft Office is also a key requirement.

- Monitor statutory compliance with Facilities Management standards, policies, procedures, and templates through facility audits and undertaking issue resolution tasks.
- Manage the day-to-day Facilities Management contracted at the assigned CPI site(s)
- Attend site weekly Change & Modification meetings for facilities-related items.
- Manage PPMs using the CAFM system to escalate non-compliance at weekly Facility Management meetings, escalating issues to Facilities Manager for a monthly meeting report.
- Ensure Facilities Management is aware of outstanding issues and is dealing with them promptly.
- Coordinate the delivery of weekly Facility Management reviews with Operations, ensuring that actions are accurately logged and followed up on department trackers.
- Appropriately escalate any issues where suppliers and engineers have failed to respond with contract timescales.
- Organise desk/office moves, all refurbishment works, and furniture orders.
- Responsible for updating all new and existing signage as and when required.
- Liaising with, Landlords/other tenants on building, maintenance, and refurbishment works for common areas.
- Support the CPI Project Manager for new build projects on addressing snagging issues, with the responsibility of issues until closure.
- Work alongside Warehouse Team Leader and Warehouse Coordinator at the assigned site, ensuring the smooth running of goods and crossover of the Facilities Management and Warehouse related activities.
The person we are seeking
It is essential that you are educated to Level 3 (or equivalent) in a Facility related subject and hold GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths. A full drivers’ licence with access to own vehicle is also essential for the role. In addition to this candidates should have:
- Significant experience of providing facilities support in an organisation of a similar size to CPI
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills or higher
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- The ability to demonstrate experience in dealing with external organisations/suppliers/contractors.

Additional information
Please note the primary site of work will be Sedgefield, but travel to Darlington, Wilton, and Newton Aycliffe sites will be required.
