Job summary

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week

Job description

  • You will be required to perform the tailoring requirements for a busy and high profile ceremonial unit which includes regiments of the Foot Guards and Household Division Bands, as well as members from Horse Guards and the Royal Palaces.
  • You will need to be able to operate various sewing machines, in order to sew on various ranks and make alterations.
  • Learn how to court mount medals.
  • Hand sew ranks and various other accoutrements onto various uniforms.

Main responsibilities:

  • Operate in a clean and safe environment.
  • Operate and maintain sewing machinery.
  • Record and manage tailoring coming in and out within your area of responsibility.
  • Conduct any tailoring tasks directed by the Master Tailor.

The sifting will take place during the week of the 3rd Jul 23 with the interviewing arranged for the week of the 10th July 23.
