Job description

Northamptonshire police and its community safety partners are embarking on an exciting and new initiative to create a data and research Observatory that will bring huge benefits to the whole county. You will be joining the team at the very start, devising new ways of working, helping to build new relationships between organisations and using all your creativity and originality to provide proactive insights to support local and partnership operational delivery. You will enjoy taking personal responsibility to identify and achieve improvements in policing and community safety activity and processes. You will take those insights and use them to provide recommendations to continuously evolve and improve partnership collaboration across the county.

You will be employed by Northamptonshire police but you will have the opportunity to network across all the agencies involved in the Observatory. You will use this networking as an opportunity to combine knowledge and information, using it protect the most vulnerable places, themes and individuals and assist in identifying prevention activities for those at highest risk by providing analytical, evaluation and research expertise.

Ideally you will have experience in analysis and the use of data analytics but if you don’t and yet you have the attributes we are looking for, we will support and train you to become a fully fledged Northamptonshire Observatory Analyst.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of something new, innovative and exciting that will provide you with exceptional personal and professional development as well as the sense of achievement that comes with knowing you are making a real difference to the lives of people.
