We are currently recruiting for a Fabric Technologist to join our Product team in our Market Road, London, Head Office on a permanent, full-time basis.
The Fabric Technologist will be part of our technical team and will be responsible for the delivery of luxury lingerie, swim, clothing and accessories while providing best quality and consistency across the various departments of the Agent Provocateur brand.
As Fabric Technologist you will ensure that the components developed are fit for purpose and meet the required compliance and performance criteria. This will include ongoing risk assessment during the development process through to production.
As a Fabric Technologist, you will:
- Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Fabric Technology or within a similar role
- Possess good knowledge and awareness of UK/European/US fabric testing standards and requirements with strong practical skills
- Have knowledge of all aspects of fabric and trim manufacturing including dyeing/finishing, printing techniques, bonding, applique and wash processes
- Have a technical understanding of different components used across a range of product categories including but not limited to leather, PVC, accessories and metal findings
- Comprehensive knowledge of raw materials
- Demonstrate the ability to prioritise and to switch between different tasks as required
- Be able to work at all levels of the organisation and develop relationships throughout the business to foster effective communications
- Be proactive, and have strong organisational skills
