Help businesses and individuals understand the impact of global mobility on their taxes whilst working towards becoming a qualified tax advisor. And embark on a career journey you can own, shape and grow.
About the programme
EY’s Mobility Tax practice help clients solve complex issues from planning development programmes and remuneration packages, to efficiently managing global secondments and digitising workflows. Our services help them to make changes that create better ways of working and efficiently manage all aspects of their people strategy.
As a member of our team, you’ll guide our clients. You’ll work with innovative tax technology to solve unique problems. You’ll make key business decisions. And you’ll collaborate across business areas and geographies to grow ours and our clients’ businesses.
What will you be doing?
- Assisting with global mobility tax advisory and compliance projects
- Supporting client engagements from a day-to-day account management perspective, including writing, and proposing for client bids/projects
- Building professional relationships with clients through attending client meetings and maintaining regular contact with clients
- Supporting with and preparing for internal team and client presentations
- Undertaking technical research and reviewing and understanding the tax legislation to help provide answers to client queries
How is it structured?
First up, an induction will verse you in all things EY. You will then join the Financial Services (FS) Mobility Tax team and start working on client projects from day one (with lots of help, of course). Along the way, you'll be studying and doing exams, so you’ll progress even faster professionally than your university-going friends. By the time you complete the programme, you'll not only have qualifications but lots of practical experience and a network of mentors to help you keep on developing. The experience you gain will vary, as clients across FS depend on your work location and will have differing needs.
Throughout you’ll be part of the EY community and you’ll have a buddy to help guide you. They’ll be your first point of call for practical help and guidance. We also provide coaching as well as a Counsellor, so you will always have access to impartial advice, opportunities and ongoing support.
In the workplace, you’ll take on greater responsibilities, so that by the end of the programme you’re likely to have enough knowledge, confidence, and experience to find yourself promoted to the next stage of your career.
Technology in Mobility Tax
Enjoy using EY technology tools and networks to solve complex business and tax problems. By combining the power of EY’s tax experience with innovative technology, you can help us transform the tax function of the future.
This is where your adventure begins and where you have every opportunity to build an exceptional experience. Embrace the challenge as you help us build a better working world for everyone.
Are you eligible to apply?
We operate an open access policy, meaning we don’t screen out applications on your academic performance alone. You will, however, need a minimum of grade 4/C GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths, and to have completed three A-levels/Five Highers (or equivalent).
We welcome applications from all academic backgrounds and are looking for people who will succeed at EY today and tomorrow. That's why, through our recruitment process, your academic performance will be considered against your online assessment scores to determine your suitability for an EY role. We’re also proud to partner with RARE recruitment, so that your application can be processed in the context of your socio-economic background.
