EY’s Entity Compliance and Governance (ECG) team is growing and we are looking for Senior Consultants to join our UK team based in Belfast. This is a great opportunity to become part of a global professional services firm to work with a variety of clients on exciting projects, be market facing and work on your people development skills.


We support our clients to achieve their governance, compliance and business objectives. Your role will involve delivering technical governance and compliance projects and may also involve secondments to our clients. You will have strong technical skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of audiences.


Our clients include FTSE 100/250, AiM, larger private companies as well as smaller, fast growth private companies across a variety of sectors, so there is a huge opportunity to broaden your skills and knowledge within this position.


Your key responsibilities

  • Supporting the delivery of compliance and governance projects, including:
    • Transactions & IPOs
    • Annual report project management & drafting of governance sections
    • Governance framework reviews, including delegated authorities
    • Corporate health checks
    • Secretariat operational effectiveness reviews
    • Director training and induction, advice on regulatory changes
  • Managing the delivery of annual and ad hoc compliance requirements for clients
  • Research into and provision of guidance on changing legislative and regulatory matters
  • Board meeting support, including minuting of meetings, preparation of board packs, and actions
  • Secondments into clients
  • Development of consultant level team members
  • External business development and internal networking to create opportunities
  • Monitoring changes in the legislative and regulatory environment and identifying new opportunities in the UK market

To qualify for the role you must

  • Be ICSA qualified or Part Qualified


Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Experience working in either a professional services firm or in-house company secretarial team
  • Experience working within a listed company environment and/or PRA or FCA regulated firm
