About the programme

Join our Level 7 Assurance Apprenticeship Programme and you’ll learn all about how advanced technologies integrate into the world of audit. You’ll see how our digital capabilities enable us to develop unique client solutions with the power to redefine business. You’ll collaborate with clients, colleagues, across business areas and beyond borders. And you’ll even learn to code. We’re one of the only firms that can give you this tech-first, client-facing approach to audit – and at such a global scale. Here, we’ll give you everything you need to build a career to be proud of.

What will you be doing?

  • Getting to know a range of clients, their businesses and how they work.
  • Experiencing the world of audit at a time of great change.
  • Working in a dynamic hybrid team – entering a gateway to bigger opportunities.
  • Testing checks and balances – making sure they work how they’re supposed to.
  • Analysing a variety of data that goes into a financial statement.
  • You will be expected to work longer hours during peak times.

How is it structured?

From the very start of the programme, you’ll enjoy real responsibility. Dive straight into projects, gaining key skills that will push you to discover where you want to specialise in the future. Understand how technology and business come together to create a greater impact. Adapt to the industry as it changes. Work towards a world-class ICAEW (England) or ICAS (Scotland) qualification. Balance real work with big study opportunities. And find your own path.

Year one

Your first year will see you taking on multiple roles within audit. You’ll learn how to transform data, explore how technology impacts audits and get to know the ins and outs of our business.

Year two

Get to know one audit at a time. Hone your craft as you learn about data analysis, client solutions, the world of business, and automation. And become a vital member of our audit team. We even offer the opportunity to embed yourself in client businesses – going beyond ordinary site visits.

Year three

Your third year gives you the opportunity to choose a specialism. Explore your future in complex data transformation, automation or custom solutions.

Year four

Find your feet in your final year of your apprenticeship. You can move to other areas within Assurance, expand your skills within audit, and beyond. We’ll support you all the way.

We’re looking for curious and engaged students who are ready to leave school life behind and embrace their passion for tech and business. Ready to join our diverse, growing team and lay the foundations for a broad and exciting career?

Alongside our programme offering, we give you all the training and exposure to real-world work you could want. We also offer company-wide and programme-specific rewards that make all the hard work worthwhile. These include wellbeing initiatives, a free tech MBA, healthcare support, a pension scheme and more.

Technology in Assurance

From implementing digital approaches into our global audit methodology to processing millions of transactions into visual analytics solutions, innovation and technology are at the heart of this programme. Enjoy structured training that will provide you with all the digital technology skills you need and support us in driving our next wave strategy as we shape the future of auditing.

This is where your adventure begins and where you have every opportunity to build an exceptional experience. Embrace the challenge as you help us build a better working world for everyone.
