This post attracts a welcome payment of 5% of the starting salary for the grade to enable individuals to join our permanent workforce. This is payable upon successful completion of your probationary period and is subject to eligibility criteria.

We are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and motivated person to work on a permanent basis within one of our Extra care schemes as a Care & support worker.
We are offering one member of staff a 19.375-hour contract. The working arrangements will include weekends and bank holidays on a rostered basis split shift between the hours of 7am and 10pm.
One of the council’s strategic objectives is to ensure we deliver excellent quality care services. To support this objective and aid individuals living within their own home environment we are seeking to appoint a compassionate, caring, and reliable support worker.
Experience is desirable but not essential as full training will be given. The post is part-time and will involve a rota system. Enhancement is paid for weekend and out of hours working. This role is offered on a permanent basis. We also encourage staff to join our bank team.
Avondown House provides Extra Care Housing for adults, who have some care needs, with an assured tenancy in a self-contained flat in a purpose-built or adapted scheme.
