Job description
External Affairs Co-ordinator
About The Role
Title: External Affairs Coordinator
Location: England (Hybrid)
Bring people with us on our journey to Net Zero
As owners of Wales and England’s electricity transmission network we move electricity around the country from where it is generated to where it is needed.
We are investing billions of pounds into the decarbonisation of the energy system and Net Zero is one of the things that drives us as an organisation. In order for us to build the infrastructure that will make Net Zero happen, we need the support of local communities, government and our regulator Ofgem.
And that’s where you come in.
We’re looking for an External Affairs Coordinator to support the External Affairs team to proactively engage with the communities we affect.
You’ll be working on big, exciting projects within our Electricity Transmission business unit. Our work includes major strategic infrastructure projects that are part of #TheGreatGridUpgrade, as well as a diverse range of projects that connect new low-carbon energy generation to our homes and businesses.
You’ll be playing a key role in the country’s Net Zero transformation, and welcomed into a diverse, inclusive organisation that has recently won an Institution of Engineering and Technology silver award for our equality, diversity and inclusion programme.
Together we have the ambition and capability to make things happen. If you feel that you have too, then we really look forward to talking to you soon.
“I love that my job has a real sense of purpose. Knowing that what we do plays an important part in enabling a clean energy future - that’s what gets me out of bed in the morning!”
